Jeannot Bettendorf
Painter, sculptor, photographer and patron of the arts.
Born August 30, 1952 in Luxembourg. The only child in his family, he received an architectural and scientific education in the best traditions of a Luxembourgian bourgeois family.
Jeannot Bettendorf began his studies as a technical draftsman at the School of Arts and Crafts in Luxembourg. During his studies, his main subjects were art history, freehand drawing, technical drawing, construction design, perspective drawing, cardboard model making and material studies.
After two years of art study, Jeannot went on to study chemistry. Thereafter, he worked in Dr. Ernst’s laboratory in Luxembourg for more than thirty years. Throughout his professional life, he remained faithful to the plastic arts: watercolor, Indian ink drawing, etching, sculpture, and later photography.
